Cantonment has a new community gem—Paper Park, a 68-acre public park developed on the former International Paper golf course. Officially opened with a ribbon-cutting on January 30, 2025, Paper Park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and free to the public.
I recently took our kids to visit this newer Cantonment park, and our kids had a blast! Paper Park features a mile-long walking trail, a large playground with shaded seating, a covered picnic pavilion, and even an 18-hole disc golf course. Whether you’re looking for a spot to exercise, enjoy family time, or host a weekend gathering, it offers something for everyone.
Easy access & scenic location
Located at the corner of Highway 29 and Muscogee Road, with parking available off Mintz Lane, Paper Park is convenient for Cantonment residents and visitors alike. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset and completely free to enjoy.
Nature meets activity
A paved walking trail stretches more than a mile through peaceful green space, giving walkers, joggers, and nature lovers a safe and scenic place to unwind.
Play for every generation
The playground is designed with families in mind—featuring slides, swings, climbing areas, and shaded seating where parents can relax while kids explore.
Disc golf delight
Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the 18-hole “Timber Toss” disc golf course. It’s public, easy to navigate, and accessible for strollers and carts, making it fun for beginners and experienced players.
Perfect for picnics and gatherings
A covered pavilion with picnic tables offers a welcoming spot for family outings, birthday parties, or a casual lunch in the fresh air. The pavilion provides plenty of shade for these brutal summer days.
As Pensacola real estate agents, we know parks like this increase the appeal of nearby neighborhoods. Buyers and renters are often drawn to communities that offer outdoor recreation, and Paper Park is a great example of how new amenities can enhance both lifestyle and property values.
If you’re exploring Pensacola homes for sale or searching for rental homes in Cantonment, this new park is a valuable addition to the area. Paper Park makes north Escambia County an even more attractive place to live. This area has been lacking a great park for a while and we’re so glad to see such a fantastic one nearby!
