Events at the Pensacola Bay Center

Events at the Pensacola Bay Center

The Pensacola Bay Center is a staple in the Pensacola community. It is located in Downtown Pensacola right next to I-110. The Pensacola Bay Center is our area’s only conference and event center, and is home to most major events held in the Pensacola Bay area. Built in 1985, The Pensacola Bay Center was formerly known as the Pensacola Civic Center and is owned by Escambia County. It’s the largest indoor event center between Mobile, Alabama and Fort Walton Beach in the Florida panhandle. With over 20,000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space, the Pensacola Bay Center seats 10,000 people. It also has a great deal of meeting spaces available for local businesses and organizations.

The Pensacola Bay Center is home to year round events such as the Pensacola Ice Flyers hockey games and seasonal ice skating. It’s the only place you’ll find ice skating in Pensacola.

You’ll also find the following:

  • Concerts and comedians
  • Sporting events including hockey, boxing, and basketball
  • Expos like bridal and home expos
  • Conventions such as Pensacola’s own Comic-Con event Pensacon and educational conference Entrecon
  • Traveling events such as Disney On Ice, WWE Live Wrestlemania Monster Jam, and The Harlem Globe Trotters

The Pensacola Bay Center has, in recent years, hosted events such as WWE Live and Island Fights, comedian Jeff Dunham, and a variety of concerts including Travis Tritt, The Casting Crowns, Kevin Gates, White Tie Rock Ensemble, The Used, TobyMac, Jojo Siwa, and Breaking Benjamin. Historically, the Pensacola Bay Center hosted even bigger names including Pearl Jam, Cher, Elton John, Janet Jackson, and Jimmy Buffet.

Most local Pensacola area residents have fond memories of major life events at the Pensacola Bay Center including their first concert and their high school or college graduation.

In recent years, there’s been talks of expanding the Pensacola Bay Center to allow for larger conventions and concerts, but there are currently no plants in the works to replace or rebuild The Bay Center.
